Additional Details
Traveler, welcome back to Ertbe, the vast land of the eternal war cycle. This time you have reached the northern shores of Ymriar, the White Kingdom, a place whose ancient magnificence can still be seen in the ruined castles, fortresses and strongholds conquered by forest and snow.

Ymriar is the ancestral home of the Black Knighthood, and their Order, now fragmented into seven factions, is still dedicated to hunting down Sadara warlocks, defending the Kingdom borders, and recovering the relics of Mastor, the legendary black knight who founded the Order and created the Measure (the set of philosophical and spiritual laws that members must observe).

The Black Knighthood has a long tradition of esoteric practices, dream quests through drugs, ritual sacrifices and pacts with demons. Mastor is still remembered and revered as a mighty warlock, and not a few knights have died tragically and romantically while searching for a magical item, carrying out a geas command, or trying to subdue a monster. Other knights have fallen into more prosaic practices, such as theft or looting (the so-called robber knights).

The Black Knighthood participates against Sadara in the military campaigns of the War of the Murdered Lady..., having aligned themselves with the Cerulean Sea League and its barbarian lords. The Order Farauts (heralds and messengers) ride wyverns, and barbarian hosts fight side by side with the heavy cavalry and the yeomen.

Don't let your legs tremble when you witness the swift and graceful charge of the knights dressed in black spiked armor. You will hear the heavy hoofbeats of bloodshot-eyed stallions, and the pristine note of the war horn deep in the night. In the coming fall, if the knights manage to besiege the Sadara Marble Cathedral, the Persevant will raise his battle hammer and the First Psalm of Nolkur's Prophecy will begin.more
