They gathered at the gates of the kingdom and opened the doors to the evils waiting in the tundra. They knew death grew nigh. Steadfast they held, conquerors borne of a mighty past. But like their fathers before them, into the frozen abyss, they walked. A death march, hand in hand, into the abominable night. Left behind there in the kingdom, there they stood icy and crystalline, in the vast abyss, never again to be heard.
