In this age of enlightenment, and entitlement, a new paradigm has befallen the Earth. After the protagonists of our prior album began delving too deep and unleashing our planet's sordid secrets, the land was cursed by an almighty, archaic force. Now, this burden of evil spreads it's occult influence across the globe, giving rise to a new breed of human - the succubi.

'Widowmaker', the all-new concept album by Infernal Symphony, tells this parable - all chronicles, good or bad, will rise and fall eternally.

Proclaiming the rise and creation of a female avenging angel, whom instigates and carries out a vendetta against fellow occult women of the order, to exact revenge and claim their rightful place as the head of a supernatural order of demonic succubi, this album is another enormous leap in quality and a prime reason why the band is on the cusp of greatness.

Taking influence from a wide range of sources, from history and medieval accounts of possession to modern high fantasy, as well as musical cues from bands such as Jinger, Archspire, Dir En Grey, Nocturnus, Tool, and Moonsorrow, this album follows the long lineage of Infernal Symphony's vast repertoire of material and looks back to past successes such as 'Tapestry Of Torment' and... 'Faust' with fondness, whilst also stepping up our tradition of thoughtful songwriting, relentless experimentation, fantastic soundbites and wonderfully composed and supremely aggressive progressive black metal.

This perceptive, intelligent and stirring collection of songs plumbs every conceivable style, genre, tone and approach of albums past, and launches the sound, atmosphere and production quality into the stratosphere. Easily humbling our entire back catalogue in one fell swoop with its crisp wall of sound production and intricate and unpredictable tracks, 'Widowmaker' is more than an album - it is a storytelling experience and coup de grace from one of the hottest and most talented one man bands today.
