There are three religious establishments in the land of Rh'nosia. Ghoal’crom Shrine is an uninhabited pilgrim site, Kaebbiven Friary is a cloister for brothers, and Silvershade Abbey is its counterpart, a community of sisters. This EP gives us a few glimpses of the Abbey and its inhabitants.

We arrive at dawn to Silvershade Abbey, and the silvery rays of the rising sun give us an eminent illustration of the name of the community.

One of the sisters arrive at the same time. She has been away for a few days, visiting a home in the nearby city of Mehathain. There she held a vigil for an elderly man who had died a few days earlier. This is one of the most important duties of the sisters, to accompany souls on the final journey and assisting the clerics who perform the funeral rites.

At a sacred place like this, it is not difficult to sense the closeness of the world beyond the veil of time; here, that veil is thin. For most visitors to the Abbey, it is a comforting experience. For others, it may come as a warning, a reminder of the brevity of life.

The Abbey is built among the beautiful hills of Northern Rh'nosia, not a long distance East of the mighty Midh'lin Mountains. Serenity and peace rest upon the Abbey, but for the sisters not every moment is filled with calm and peacefulness. They carry many unseen burdens, for they weep with those who weep, and walk with many a weary wanderer on paths untold.
