The subject matter of this album is that of medieval warfare, both on the battlefield and the one-on-one knightly duel. Being a pracitioner of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), I wanted to give at least some glimpses into the medieval martial arts in the lyric sections for the individual songs.
With these songs I explore different techniques and sounds. I use different types of instrumentation and compositional approach on the album.
