The Chronicles of Lord Baerston give us glimpses of the life of a knight who enjoys life, suffers personal loss and sees not only his power but his existence threatened by a growing, hostile Empire. And still, his experiences are not totally dissimilar to ours. The events can be seen as allegories which carry significance for many of us.
