"My Dearest Friend,

I have left for Earth. A companion there has been compelled to do spell battle with a nameless ruler who has engaged in barter with an unscrupulous demon named "Christ"

Driven to madness, he now murders all he cannot control. By good fortune, I will be fighting alongside a very powerful Aaiyyanist wizard, and don't believe this should take more then a ten-day.

I'll call upon you when I return.

Entry I

We managed to capture one of the creatures in field of magic and made some observations:

- they had a flesh that was cold to the touch

- much bragging about how many legions they held sway over

- after a while in the presence of the creature, we found our moods changing wildly

- we were stricken by lust and an inexorable desire to do computations

- eventually we slayed the creature

Herein is only a summary; my research journal has far more complete detail on the investigations

Entry II

As outlined in my previous entry, we had tried to investigate the creature but in the end felt the need to slay it. We had heard of a group who worship the creatures and claimed to be able to summon them through ritual.

At this time we have only attempted one summoning, and it was far more dangerous than any I've previously attempted in my life. It wasn't...physically dangerous, rather treacherous to the psyche. A full explanation has been added to my research journal.

I've learned from the cult that "Christ" was not a demon, rather a human of great influence and - from all that I can tell - righteous purpose. It is confusing how his teachings have led to such bitter conflict.

Entry III

My companion has vehemently insisted that I do not record their name and thusly I will not do so here, and have scratched it out from pages of my research journal.

They have suggested performing the Second Sight ritual, in an effort to see through the mind of a recently deceased cultist who passed during an exchange of information with one of the summoned Demons

I'm worried, our investigations are going nowhere and I'm terrified of my own skin

THERES NOT MUCH TO DO ANYMORE EXCEPT BE ALONE

MY RESEARCH PARTNERS ARE NO MORE, AND THERE WILL BE NO MORE MENTION OF THEM. I'VE ALSO BURNED THE RESEARCH JOURNAL AND WILL SOON FIND AID FROM BEYOND, BARRING MY WITS STAY INTACT AND I MAY BURN THIS PAGE AS WELL

I WISH I HAD DISPATCHED THEM, THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO END THE WAY THEY DID. DO -NOT- VENERATE THAT WHICH YOU CANNOT PLACATE AND NEVER OVERESTIMATE YOUR WORTH

Entry V

The summoning of the High Priest worked, and together we were able to bring the invaders to heel.

Pretty sure I will never speak of any of this again.
