A new month, a new Poppet album. This album explores the sonic pallate of the Novaiton Circuit, in a post industrial and gabber influenced form of dungeon synth. It might be one of my most challenging works yet, a blistering slab of post-modern, post-dungeon noise.
Thematically this explores urban medieval life through a Postmodern lens. All too often "metal adjacent experimental fantasy music" focuses on the rural or pastoral. "The Shifting Metropolis" tries to center the role cities played in medeival life, all the good, all the bad, and especially, all the ugly.
