I wrote this song inspired by an impressive sculpture, crafted in the XVI Century by Jean De Boulogne, called "The Apenninne Colossus". That stone giant is still standing in the heart of the Tuscan Countryside, representing the mountain rising from ancient waters.
By looking at the Giant itself, I felt the melancholy and sadness of a mighty creature imprisoned in time, it seemed like he's giving up to a sense of abandonment, losing his strenght and watching all that sorrounds him with the eyes of nostalgia...
