Travelers bring rumors of strange apparitions - two shades roaming the forests, vague dark silhouettes. Most spotted them from afar, gliding under the moonlight and disappearing into the darkness. Some speak of otherworldly sounds following the shades, long and mournful and oddly shapeless. Is it an omen of ill-comings? Or an echo of a past so distant and mysterious that only the wisest of Valar know of it?

It is with these thoughts that you stroll down a beaten path in Taur-im-Duinath. Something makes you turn your head, and there they are - two solemn shapes floating smoothly in the clearing beyond the trees. As you stare anxiously into the night, a sound catches your ear. It starts off quietly but grows louder and closer. You are mesmerized, unable to move in a soporific torpor. The sound envelops you, and you feel lost in the primeval magic it invokes.
