If you like black metal, metaphysics and mythology, then these songs are for you, dear traveler!

It took me five years to complete this extremely personal album and three months to record it, one instrument at a time. And since I'm not a drummer, that part was probably the hardest one and is far from being perfect - but this is not what I was going for, so it doesn't matter. In fact, that is precisely the way I like music: imperfect, organic, alive!

It all started with two complementary tracks, namely "Rebirth Ritual", a Pagan hymn which corresponds to the time I was symbolically reborn, and "The Narcissist", which is the first track I composed when I started making music again and originally didn't have any lyrics - it simply was a portrait of what could be called the devil made man, whose meeting participated in making me who I am today - which I am thankful for.

"Crucifixion" is my way of p(r)aying tribute to the Man whose teachings and life have always been a great source of reflection and inspiration for me, ever since I saw the painting by Salvador Dalí entitled "Le Christ de Saint Jean de la Croix" as a child.... After all, the symbolism of the cross is universal and Christian mythology is simply one of the many forms the Truth can take on.

"The Hero's Life, Death and Resurrection" sums up the three steps of a man's initiation one can easily gather from studying traditional myths whilst not forgetting that all orthodox doctrines are about Liberation and can't be reduced to a literal or materialistic interpretation, or even to mere moral considerations, as modern men so often do, which puts religious fanatics and atheists on the same level.

As for "Cosmos", let's say it is here to serve as a reminder for those who have forgotten that all things are One.

So do as Isis did with Osiris, dear traveler, if you want to come back from the dead: re-member - and you will become yourself at last!more
