MONOLITH

In darkness all light's contained,

In silence all words are born,

In stillness all movements dwell,

The first three tracks were recorded live using a Circuit, a Mono Station and a Juno G synthesizers, an RV-6 reverb pedal and my Sony video camera in September and October 2020.

The fourth track was programmed about 14 years ago on Reason 3.0 and slowed down on Sony Vegas Pro for a homemade short movie entitled MUTE, which I directed with Julien Lepage in 2008(www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0uZzCIz3Eg).

The last track was composed on Juno G and programmed on Reason 3.0 in 2020.

The whole album was assembled and remastered in October 2022.

As for the artwork, I used a cartoon from my other self's French cartoon series(www.facebook.com/HistoiresCochonnes)which I drew 10 years ago and was originally meant as a humorous tribute to Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. I used Gimp... to erase the goofy characters, change the colors, add or suppress a few details and include my new logo and the title of the album.

As a result, due to how long it took to bring this creation to full completion, the album almost feels like a time travel through my own life, a sonic self-portrait that tells of the 12 years I spent wandering and pondering over the questions that eventually brought me to where I am today.more
